Red Nose Day 2017
On Friday 24th March 2017, The Kimberley School Sixth Form organised the most successful Comic Relief fundraiser at the school to date. The fundraising occurred over 3 days; with a netball match between staff versus sixth form students and a football match between staff and sixth form students. With a fantastic effort from both the sixth form students and staff, both games were a huge success and helped raise almost £100 in total from the games. The main events were held on the Red Nose Day Friday with a sweet and cake sale, hot dog sale, various quiz type stalls, an open mic concert, glitter face painting and, ‘sponge the teacher’. As well as this some 6th Form boys waxed their legs for charity!
The combined efforts and grand total of Red Nose Day 2017 was a staggering £2,250!
This total raised £400 more than Sports Relief 2016 and £150 more than Comic Relief 2015.
